Dr. Jamie Loggains serves as the Program Manager and Associate Professor in Health Programs at Peirce College. Specifically, she teaches CPT Coding, Reimbursement Methodologies and Managing Quality and Performance Improvement.

She earned her A.A. from Ozarka College (Melbourne, Arkansas), her A.A.S. in Health Information Technology from Gwynedd Mercy College (Gwynedd Valley, Pennsylvania), her B.S. in Healthcare Administration from Drexel University (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), her M.S. in Health Informatics from the University of Illinois at Chicago (Chicago, Illinois), and her Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership from Maryville University (St. Louise, Missouri).

Dr. Loggains' first love was healthcare reimbursement. Prior to pursuing a career in academia, she gained knowledge and experience in the field by working as a billing coordinator for a freestanding surgery center and a medical office coordinator in orthopedics. This experience allows Dr. Loggains to bring working knowledge into the classroom, which helps to make the material relatable to what students are learning.

If you ask Dr. Loggains what her favorite thing is about teaching at Peirce College, she will tell you that it's the students. She believes that "Students who choose Peirce have a specific career goal in mind, and they conquer many obstacles to walk across that stage in June to accept their certificate and/or degree. Juggling school, home and work responsibilities is not easy but our students do it and they do it well."

When it is time to relax, Dr. Loggains enjoys watching Arkansas Razorbacks football, working in her garden and spending time with her two grandchildren.
