She enjoyed a mostly traditional college experience where she was a student leader and tutor. Dr. Currie furthered her education obtaining a Doctoral degree in Education in 2014 - her dissertation focused on mathematics anxiety in adult undergraduate business students.

She came to Peirce College in 1998 with extensive tutoring experience at the high school and college levels. She is excited about strong analytical female role models such as 2013 Miss America Erin Brady, an at-risk, first generation, successful college graduate and financial analyst. Erin is someone Dr. Currie sees as a good role model for Peirce students of any age.

Dr. Currie was the 2012 recipient of the Peirce College, Arthur J. Lendo, Continuous Quality Improvement Award for Leadership. She was also the 2015 recipient of the Peirce College, Hamilton Award for academic excellence and integrity.
