Dr. Sharon McCrae serves Peirce College in the capacity of Associate Professor and joined Peirce in 2019. Prior to her current role, she was a Peirce College Adjunct Professor from 2012 through 2019.
As an Associate Professor, Dr. McCrae is responsible for the following: teaching Human Resource Management and Business Management courses to undergraduate students; coordinating all Human Resource Management courses; and serving as a Faculty Advisor to the Peirce College SHRM Student Chapter.
As a human resource management professional with more than 35 years of progressive experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, and benefits administration industries, Dr. McCrae combines her human resource management, business management, and corporate training and development experience into her approach to teaching Peirce College courses.
Dr. McCrae has a Doctorate in Education with a Specialization in Training and Performance Improvement. Her published dissertation is entitled “The role of the supervisor in supporting the transfer of training prior to, during, and after training.”
Dr. McCrae’s personal teaching philosophy is to create a learning environment that is grounded in the andragogy teaching methods, principles, and activities and that encourage students to be life-long learners.
