A Note from Steven Amster, President, Alumni Association

Hello!

My name is Steven Amster, and I am the newly elected President of the Peirce College Alumni Association. I earned my Masters in Organizational Leadership and Management in 2016 and my Associates in Technology Management from Peirce in 2010. I also earned a Bachelor of Science from Bellevue University. I had been involved with Peirce for many years and, like many of you, recently realized it was time to get further involved and support Peirce in any way I am able.

As President of the Alumni Association, I fully support the College’s mission to help working adult learners further their education and advance their careers. It is a competitive workforce, and a degree can be a deciding factor in advancing careers or landing that “dream job.” During my time as president, I plan to encourage our growing alumni group to become more engaged with Peirce and help the College deliver on its mission. I also plan to help each of you leverage the Alumni Association in support of your own goals. Whether you plan to return to school for that next degree or credential, could use some support in looking for that promotion or next job, simply want to network with fellow friends, or want to give back—time, talent, or treasure, I hope the Alumni Association can be your partner.

While Dawn Bruno (Vice President), Stephanie Estriplet (Secretary), and I will work diligently with our board of energized alumni to achieve our Alumni Association's goals, we cannot do this without you. I invite you to join us in this important work! Please reach out to me if you have any thoughts or ideas on how to continue growing the Alumni Association or if you are interested in getting involved.

And remember that involvement with Peirce can manifest in many ways. You can volunteer your time by working directly with students or participating in Peirce events; you can share your industry expertise with our faculty and staff through our advisory boards and special panels; and you can also invest in the College’s mission by contributing to the Alumni Scholarship Fund. Any amount you give will be deeply appreciated.

Whatever your interest and capacity may be, we can find a way for you to connect and participate. As part of our alumni community, you are both valued and appreciated.

I look forward to working with all of you and thank you in advance for the work we will do together.

The Peirce College Alumni Association Keeps Its Members Connected

The Board of Directors is the Alumni Association's governing body and works with the College's administration to develop the relationship alumni have with one another and with the College. The Board is led by a president, vice president and secretary. Board members can serve up to two consecutive two-year terms in the Alumni Association; elections are held annually in the spring.

Student Alumni Association programs include:

  • Admissions programs involve alumni in identifying and recruiting potential students, sharing information about and communicating enthusiasm for their Peirce experience within the communities where they live and work.
  • Career Development Services assists alumni and current students with career guidance, networking, mentorship and accessing work opportunities.
  • Outreach opportunities take advantage of print, electronic and social media to give Peirce alumni the information they need to be better connected to their fellow alumni and to the College.
  • Chapters will promote connections among alumni through the lens of the academic program in which they participated, professional area in which they work,
  • Awards will be presented by the Alumni Association to individuals whose service to the College and community reflect the very best qualities gained through their Peirce education.
