Peirce-Year-Up

Closing the Opportunity Divide in Philadelphia

Get the education and experience you need for a successful career at some of the world’s biggest companies by enrolling in Year Up at Peirce College in Philadelphia at 1420 Pine Street.

Year Up is an intensive 12-month training program for young adults ages 18-24. The program helps prepare you to enter the workforce through hands-on skill development and a paid corporate internship while enrolled in Peirce College courses. How effective is Year Up? Nationally, 85 percent of graduates are employed earning an average of over $36,000/year or are attending college to complete their degrees within four months of finishing the program, and you can join them.

Year Up is working to close the Opportunity Divide, which is the gap between six million young adults disconnected from viable career paths and 12 million jobs that lead to a successful career. The Year Up program provides urban young adults with the skills, experience and support they need to reach their full potential. Once enrolled at Peirce, you’ll be on a path of personal and professional development that will lead you to greater economic self-sufficiency

How Year Up Works

Students enrolled in the Year Up program earn Peirce College credits while bolstering their professional development and work experience in the information technology and business operations fields. Best of all, students get paid while doing it! Students attend courses at Peirce and earn up to 24 college credits while receiving professional development training from Year Up’s dedicated coaches – and make up to $600 in monthly stipend payments while participating in the program.

Successful students are placed in a full-time, paid internship at some of the Greater Philadelphia region’s best companies: Aramark, Liberty Mutual, JPMorgan Chase, University of Pennsylvania and more.
