Administrator Coordinator, Student Financial Services

JOB SUMMARY:

Peirce College is seeking a Coordinator to assist the Office of Student Financial Services and be the first point of contact for students and/or parents contacting the office in order to provide limited counseling about the financial aid process and available financing options, and/or elevate issues to appropriate financial aid personnel.

FUNCTIONS:

  • Assists with explaining financial aid award packages based on specific program eligibility and total award amounts; reviews and verifies initial and incoming request to review student eligibility receiving various aid program funds; identifies award availability through various sources; calculate various funding to create a total financial aid award explanation; coordinates all incoming request, including documentation submission.
  • Provides excellent customer service when handling phone and virtual requests for information.
  • Monitors and process all incoming United Way IDA Grant program applications, from initial inquiry stage to enrolled status.
  • Maintains all incoming departmental electronic files for financial aid award applicants to the College via Salesforce and PowerFaids/Netpartners.
  • Assists with monitoring student enrollment, explaining the recalculation of awards when necessary.
  • Assists with monitoring student records from the established criteria to ensure that financial aid obligations have been met and determine whether additional financial review is needed. 
  • Assists with the internal and external scholarship management through all financial aid systems, specifically in areas of communications.
  • Assists with Student Financial Services presentations as needed to assist with the understanding of practices of the office such as general guidance of federal, state and institutional aid programs.  
  • Researches, verifies, analyzes, and assesses student financial histories, including defaulted loans and/or repayment obligations at other institutions.
  • Assists with the explanation of Title IV refunds and repayments, including U.S. Department of Education and National Student Loan Data Systems notifications.

REQUIRED:

  • Associate degree or equivalent. 
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in related field.
  • Proficiency in Windows operating environment, current Microsoft Office Suite products, Google G-Suite, and Zoom or other web conferencing applications.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management software (CRM) preferred, Salesforce a plus, along with knowledge of a Student Information System (SIS), Jenzabar a plus, and PowerFAIDS, or comparable platforms, and the ability to learn and use technologically current applications and other software.

  • Analyze and solve problems within the constraints of College policies and procedures;
  • Function as a team member and independently in order to meet deadlines while working in a fast-paced environment;
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality with all aspects of the job duties;

STATUS:

Full-Time/Non-exempt.

HOURS:

Day, evening, and weekend responsibilities, as required.
